The Top 10 National Universities

The U.S. News & World Report has released its 30th edition of annual review. Here are the Best Colleges of 2015.

The top 10 National Universities for 2015 are:

Taking the No. 1 spot, Princeton University is located in Princeton, New Jersey. The four-year graduation rate is 88%, and the student/faculty ratio is 6:1. The most popular major is economics, general, and 71% of classes have fewer than 20 students.
Harvard University, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is ranked second on the list. This private university has an 86% four-year graduation rate. The student/faculty ratio is 7:1, and 76% of classes have fewer than 20 students. The most popular major is social sciences, general.
Yale University rounds out the top three. Located in New Haven, Connecticut, Yale has a 90% four-year graduation rate. This private university has a student/faculty ratio of 6:1, and 77% of classes have fewer than 20 students. Economics, general is the most popular major.
Three private universities tied at No. 4: Columbia University, Stanford University and the University of Chicago. Columbia is located in New York, New York. It has an 88% four-year graduation rate, and the student/faculty ratio is 6:1. Eighty-two percent of classes have fewer than 20 students. On the other side of the country, Stanford is located in Stanford, California. It has a 76% four-year graduation rate, and the student/faculty ratio is 5:1. And 69% of classes have fewer than 20 students. Finally in the nation’s heartland, the University of Chicago has an 88% four-year graduation rate, and the student/faculty ratio is 6:1. About three-quarters (76%) of classes have fewer than 20 students. All three universities share social sciences as their most popular major.
Massachusetts University of Technology took the No. 7 spot. The private university is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The school has an 84% four-year graduation rate, and the student/faculty ratio is 8:1. The most popular major is engineering, and 69% of classes have fewer than 20 students.
Duke University and the University of Pennsylvania tied at eight. Both are private universities. Duke is located in Durham, North Carolina. It has an 87% four-year graduation rate, and the student/faculty ratio is 7:1. While there’s no information on the school’s most popular major, 71% of classes have fewer than 20 students. Located in Philadelphia, the University of Pennsylvania has an 88% four-year graduation rate, and the student/faculty ratio is 6:1. Business management and marketing are the most popular majors, and 68% of classes have fewer than 20 students.
California Institute of Technology rounds out the top 10. Located in Pasadena, California, this private university has an 82% four-year graduation rate and an incredible 3:1 student/faculty ratio. The most popular major is engineering, and 69% of classes have fewer than 20 students.
